Green Money

As our species progresses, we can no longer ignore the damaged state of our planet, Earth.
As business, students, teachers or just citizens of the Earth, we have an obligation to protect the environment that we have destroyed. Why is this an obligation? Without our planet, there would be no humans. Our economy would not be there if there were not planet Earth. We would not have markets if it were not for the natural resources. Therefore, although we have financial responsibilities and aspirations, we must not forget the vital part our environment plays in every single second of our lives.
However, due to the emphasis put on economic success and material goods, we believe that the lure of “moola”, generally speaking, will always undermine the want to preserve our environment. Thus, a question is formulated. How can we help fix and preserve the environment without giving up our monetary opportunities? We are very interested in possible solutions to this question. Under this year’s topic, Sustainable Finance, we have chosen the category, Green Money. Green money is basically the money made by saving our environment. This is something that we believe will significantly contribute to building a Sustainable Economy. We believe that economic players, worldwide, should explore this sparsely probed idea of green money.
Countries should share ideas, concepts and strategies that encourage, develop, or spark green businesses.
In our presentation in the next World Forum we would like to address the current setting of green money in Taiwan, major green businesses that have been financially and environmentally successful and, how the Taiwanese government plays a role in green businesses. As representatives of Taiwan, we hope to bring to different ideas and concepts to the younger generation (students) at the World Forum Lille.
