Responsible economy in practice!
Corporate responsibility is no utopia, it exists!
Over all 5 continents, economic players – small and medium-sized enterprises or major groups - prove that conducting their business in a responsible manner has no detrimental effect on their performance – quite on the opposite!
The objective and hope of the World Forum of Lille is to make such "best practice" known and bring it into widespread use.
After Diversity in 2007 and the Protection of the Planet in 2008, the 3rd World Forum will be dedicated to « sustainable finance », with international experts and economic players from all over the world.
In fact, corporate social and environmental responsibility also applies to the use of money – giving preference to long term strategies over short-term speculation; taking into account non-financial aspects when making financial decisions; investing into socially-responsible projects, applying principles of fair remuneration to managers.
The sudden fall of financial empires should not overshadow countless initiatives that demonstrate that another approach to finance is possible and profitable!
