"Trash is cash" Live !

T - S -1 group
has been launched by Slum Talent Trust, an organization that aimed at promoting slum artistic talents, while ensuring that children get access to education, housing and healthcare. T-S-1 (together as one) comprises of very young talents between the ages of 12-18 years old. Through music, the children highlight the various problems faced in the today society as such: their own challenges, poverty, environmental issues, gender inequality, health, education, etc, while giving a message of hope and prosperity.

All the members in the group come from severely disadvantaged backgrounds from which they can only hope to escape through their musical talents and education.

«Trash is cash», their flagship title, highlights local initiatives to recycle rubbish, which are starting to be developped in the slums of Kenya’s capital. Their video was awarded the
prestigious 2009 MTV Positive Climate Award and the Earth Journalism Awards.
